Ian is a professional magician, mind reader and Member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star.  He received a comedy award from The Magic Circle and has also won the British Champion of Comedy Magic.

He has written three books for the general public on magic and also two specialist books for the magic profession: this includes his highly acclaimed Stand-Up: A Professional Guide to Comedy Magic.

Ian is acknowledged as an expert on Charles Dickens and his magic.  He has spoken on the subject to the Dickens Fellowship and also at the prestigious International Conferences Dickens Online Journal and The Other Dickens.

When Ralph Fiennes was directing and starring in The Invisible Woman (a BBC film about Dickens' mistress Ellen Ternan) it was Ian Keable he first turned to for advice about the project.

Ian has presented three previous one man shows: The Makings of a Magician, Conjuring Up Comedy and Funny Tricks.
